“Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.” -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Local volunteers are encouraged to sign up for a community project, attend our film screening, participate in a school supply drive for Richmond Public Schools, or download our discussion guides.

MLK Day marks the beginning of the service year as millions of Americans honor the memory of Dr. King by contributing their time, talent, voice, and money to improve their communities. On MLK Day, HandsOn Greater Richmond’s local efforts will support Points of Light to engage 250,000 individuals in acts of service through thousands of volunteer projects and dialogue in more than 50 communities across the nation.
